What Data Can You See on Facebook?
While Facebook won’t let you see who has viewed your profile, there is other information you can obtain about your profile. But this is done through native tools within the Facebook website and not third-party apps.
Over time Facebook has become stricter with its data policy. As a result, many of the apps that gave summaries of profile information no longer work or have very limited functionality. Even well-known sites like Klout closed their doorsKlout Shuts Down and Your Klout Score Is No MoreKlout Shuts Down and Your Klout Score Is No MoreKlout is shutting down, and your Klout Score is disappearing with it. And you're either just learning Klout still exists, or are scratching your head in confusion right now.Read More. The market for these types of services has decreased significantly. This is largely due to changing policies and the fact that people are much more wary about app permissions nowadays.
Despite this, you can still use a few Facebook tools to get an overview of certain information. This information doesn’t have the same depth that older services had when policies were much laxer.
If you want a summary of your interactions with a Facebook friend, you can use the See friendship tool. You can access this tool by visiting your friend’s profile page and clicking on the dropdown menu next to the message icon. You will see the option to see your friendship history, as well as older features such as poking.
The “see friendship” page aggregates your mutual tagged photos, wall posts, and friendship history. The amount of information on the page will differ from friend to friend.
Your Facebook Activity Log
If you want to see information about your personal activity on Facebook, you can visit your activity log. This log can be accessed via the top-right dropdown menu on the Facebook toolbar.
Here you will see a summary of your likes, posts, tags, and other information. You can also search through the log for specific activities, such as a location check-in.
If you have a Facebook page with more than 30 Likes, you can also access the Facebook Insights tab to see more information on your post’s reach and followers. However, it’s important to note that a Facebook Page is public, as explained in our Facebook Page vs Group primerFacebook Page vs. Group: Which One Is Right for You?Facebook Page vs. Group: Which One Is Right for You?Anyone with a Facebook profile can create a page or a group. What Else Does Facebook Know?

- How come I keep seeing a box that says 'who is this 'and then a list of names with mine highlighted
- As of 2016, I say this is the current way of telling who viewed your profileYou know that nine boxes on your profile? Well today I discovered that the people in those nine boxes are fixed, the order goes in my opinion: 1. whoever has the most new posts. 2. people who lurked around your facebook profile. How do I know? Well at first it showed a friend with '10 new posts', then the next number is '6 new posts', and the least I had is '2 new posts', that took the first six boxes on that list. The last three boxes however, are fixed, no matter how much I refreshed my profile, it stayed the same. I clicked on all the boxes with new posts and viewed the profile, after I viewed the profile with new posts, it is gone from the 9 boxes, and then the truth was revealed. After all the 9 boxes was cleared from the 'new posts' friends, I found out another fixed order of these 9 friends, again I tried to refresh my profile many times, yet these friends are still fixed in the 9 boxes. The first box was a girl that I actually fell in love with and lurked around on her profile everyday, but her being in my first box could also possibly means that she was also lurking on my profile from time to time without me knowing. The second box was a girl whom I rarely checked her profile, or interacted with, meaning no comments or like on any of her pictures or posts for the past 5-6 months (well I did comment on a few of her posts when we first became friends about a year ago), yet, she was there in my second box, refreshing my profile didn't remove her from that place. My theory is that as of 2016, Facebook had turned that nine box of friend into a 'who viewed your profile the most' box. It used to be that whenever I refresh the page, the nine boxes would change into a random selected friend.

- Sorry to tell you, but the only thing you are seeing if you follow this guide, it's your chat list friends. You will NOT see who's viewed your facebook page.
- I have knowledge of an IT expert say they have traced an IP address of a fake profile and have tracked their locations around their town. Is this even possible.
- Yes, there are ways to mask your IP address. VPN is the most popular method
- Tried viewsourcepage method also. Although im not expert at url or codes reading but its too obvious that the numbers input there are already your friends who you've been actively interacting. Its not true.
- I get random people showing up who leave posts on their wall in my notifications list on Facebook. A friend that I don't usually see on that list for whatever reason shows up. And it seems they show up when I may have seen that person in public or maybe another friend I spoke with by phone mentions that person to me verbally. Coincidence? I think not! Could this be because they viewed my profile?
- It's actually very easy.. no code manipulation needed, it's been consistent for over 5 years & not likely to change anytime soon. Many people already suspect that 'People You May Know' and the Search Bar's name-guess algorithm may accidentally give an insight into who visits. Short answer: Yes, they both do.1. 'People You May Know' can give a heads-up of who has visited (and stayed for a while) - especially people who are not friends of anyone you know. If a number of 'friends of friends' appear on this list all from the same 'mutual friend', then that 'mutual friend' did the visiting..Exceptions:
- If you or somebody else decides to allow Facebook access to scan their email box for email addresses (for example: perhaps your email received spam along with a dozen other victims years ago & now one of the victims is allowing FB to scan their email box) your name may appear on their and your 'People You May Know' list.2. Nearly everyone has noted that the Search Bar seems to eerily anticipate too well what name you're going to type. Indeed, if you type only one letter a limited list of 5-8 names appears in anticipation of who you might be searching. These 1st-letter-lists are the highest ranking of everyone whose name begins with that letter (first or last name). These letter lists are ranked on mutual 'interest' - a point scale based on accumulated visits & click-thru from you and/or from them.- Sometimes a name will appear on a Search Bar list whom you've never visited - this is someone who's 'interest' in you is so great that it outweighs mutual 'interest' of other people. Friends & strangers appear on Search Bar lists. 'Interest' in your profile depends on how much material you have available for people to click around on and reasons to return.- The Search Bar list changes often - some names rise up the list, others drop - all based on mutual 'interest' between you two. If you don't visit their profile yet their name continues to rise up the list then that person is showing more 'interest' than other names on the list. If their name drops, then other people's 'interest' is higher. However, if YOU visit their profile and click around then you're adding to the mutual 'interest' level and their name will rise up the Search Bar list as well.. and you won't know if they're visiting or not.- Most people have first and last names that begin with different letters. You can compare 'interest' ranking levels on two (& sometimes more) Search Bar lists.- Typing two letters will refine the Search Bar lists - names that rank lower than the 5-8 name limit on the first-letter-lists will begin to appearProblems with this method:
- No idea when someone visited unless there is list movement up (seems to be a 6-12 hour delay)
- No idea what they looked at.
- This method isn't conducive to your visiting anyone's profile - because if you visit, the list will only reflect YOUR level of interest in someone (or mutual interest), not THEIR exclusive level of interest in you.
- Conflicts with Source Code Method - While the Source Code Method gives you a handy list of mutually 'most interested' profile #'s, you will skew the 'interest' level just by visiting the profile # to see who it is. - One thing, I read about the source page method and comments stating that it actually shows the interactions. My questions are: 1-the code order is per most recent or most frequent? 2-does it considers the interactions of other profiles with yours or also yours with others?
- this method only shows people active in your instant messenger list with a one digit code at the end. I belive that digit is an actual status digit (0 - logged out, 1- idle, 2 - computer logged, 3 - mobile phone logged; or at least something like this). I tried this source page method, and all the numbers I have in the list are people who are allready my friends. It's hard to belive that nobody searched for my name (even accidentally) in almost 3 years of facebook usage. So, this method is crap.
- The only one I did was the one that purports to tell you who views your page the most. Of course, it's you. Duh.
- 'Stalker' means nothing anymore these days. Looking at your public profile does not equate to stalking. It drives me nits to read attention-shores say this. These people choose to post every mundane detail of their life, from the food they eat, including freaking pictures (as if anyone cares), to simplistic, sophomoric opinions on the world's affairs. Stop complaining about'stalking.' Get over yourself. Facebook isn't a necessity. Windows 10 64 clean iso download 2018.
- Will you marry me? Finally somebody with a brain and common sense. TY
- another simple solution to all this possible stalker stress is go to the top right of you FB page , simple click on the inverted triangle , scroll down to 'settings' and click , go to the right of the next page where you will see 'security' , scroll down to 'deactivate my account' , click and problem solved - my ex is mental , she doesn't waste her time stalking me on fb , she actually stalks me in person ! you lot have it easy !
- Hi all If you wanna know how to know who visited your Profile then there is a trick.just watch this video.#https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn0nKWNpR0M
- i tried using my 1st fb account and viewed my profile on my 2nd fb account. then i followed the page source method i've searched on google, yet its number/url didnt matched the 1st 10 numbers/u.r.l's right behind the InitialChatFriendsList. instead the one appeared was my friends profile who just tagged me a photo on that same day.
- What about the 'InitialChatFriendsList' Method? o.o its not an app . its simply viewing the page source with your browser .. is that also fake?
- I love the irony of people going to extreme measures to find whose viewing them. If you're that tech savvy to find a loophole in the code, why not create your own 'Facebook'?
- A simple Google search isn't going to an extreme measure, lol
- FYI - InitialChatFriends search has nothing to do with recent communication. Checked itfor my profile and my ex, whom I havent talked to on FB is 5th in row (after yesterday, when he was 6th). (And, before you ask, I have exchanged messages on FB with more than just 5 or 6 friends:)).
- how to see who checked my fb although not in my friends list
and second when I am checking my ex's profile piture and reading her coments does she able to see and know that I am checking her fb - So.. There are comments saying it is absolutely possible to see who is viewing ones profile and then the comments of that agree with this article stating absolutely NOT,no how,no buts, no one can see who has viewed ones profile! So what in the world is the correct answer.
- Good comment..I'm wondering myself.
- Source code does not work . All it simply shows is the order of the chat list of your OFFLINE friends nothing more .. Unless facebook cleverly used it as a way to show it
- I have people I'm not friends with and people I've never interacted with who show up via source code. How is this explained?
- Thank you for useful article
- Actually this article is incorrect you can in fact see who's viewed your profile although the coding shows thoses who visist most often rather most recent you have to go into source code where you seeding the coding for other profiles if you copy anf paste the righ parts and hit enter it will send you to the profile page of the person who viewed you and it's not ascam..if you google this you will find sites that explain this better anf in more detail
- You copy/pasted a great deal of this 'article.'
- Ok so I ran a check and the whole Watch the source of the page and get the Ids of your friends facbook thing works on interactions ANY interaction
which means it COULD be someone watching your profile
but it could also be someone liking a picture , chatting with you , writing on your wall , watching a picture you were tagged in and so on
its about interaction
so it doesn't tell you who watched you facebook user (or at least its not reliable enough) - Actually the page sourcing DOES work. There are two people that always show up in my top 10. We haven't chatted on fb and do not comment or like each others posts. The friends source code fluctuates.sometimes they are #4 ( which seems very high for someone who never comments or chats with me) and some times they are 10 or 11.
- Actually you can see who viewed your profile 'the most ' but it ONLY works with friends ie: people on your friend's list, i've done it myself and it doesn't need anything, no app no programme but i think it only works if you're on a computer I don't know if theres one where you can see whos viewed your pro from outside your friends list though
- if you look at someone's profile, do you become someone they may know?
- Yes, you do.. the longer you visit and click around the higher you will appear on their 'someone you might know' list.
- Floppy nipplez
- Square tits
- But is it possible for someone to know that you checked out their profile if you see the pictures on their wall or read their comments?
- I was just wondering .. the 'trick' that observant was talking about .. does it only show interactions of friends or also of strangers?
- I'm glad people can't see who views facebook profiles, because I feel people's egos are already fucked up from facebook anyway from thinking they're all that. As long as no harm is being done, it should be kept this way.
- So just for the record .. if I have been looking at the profile of a girl i like :) will she be able to know it?
- There can be no app that will give this information. cause facebook API used to build those apps simply don't give such information. But from your profile we can guess how visited see my page here i explain every thing http://mon-ip.awardspace.com/who-visit-my-facebook-profile.php
- http://www.wikihow.com/See-Who-Views-Your-Facebook-Profile-the-Most Works. I Honestly searched 'How to see who views your profile.' Right click in chrome (or other browser) on your facebook homepage, click view page source, click control/command + f, type: friendslist , then you'll see a bunch of numbers, like this {'list':['10000XXXXXXXXXX-2','100000XXXXXXXXX-2','1000000XXXXXXXX-2'. Copy any of the 10000XXXXXXXXXX, the put it in another tab like this : facebook.com/10000XXXXXXXXXX Those numbers/users are in order from most interacted with/viewed your profile. Voila, pathetic article you made, a two year old could google search and find the solution that is literally the first link, and surprisingly scam free! Yay!
- actually, it's not in that order, that's the order your profile was last interacted with, not in the order of who's been on your profile the most. Before you start telling people how pathetic they are try getting your facts right first.
- it shows Page Not Found, WHY????
- How would you explain the presence of people at the top of my list I haven't talked to/liked their page or posts/had them like my page or posts/or had any fb interaction with for months above people I talk to regularly
- I already know who visits my profile. My friends occasionally, my family sporadically, and my enemies several times daily.
- I don´t think that is imposible to think that you can see who has been watching your profile! Japanese social network Mixi had the feature ashiato thta allowed to see who was watching your profile.
- what about viewing profile of people who blocked you
- You're called a stalker. Just stop it.
- So what about people who are not on your friends list, say, an ex or stalker? And what about friends of friends? Does this apply? I'm still a little creeped out.
- I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but if you mean to ask if you can know if these people viewed your profile -- you can't. It's just not possible. If you don't want people viewing your Facebook profile, make as much of it as you can private, or delete it altogether. After all, Facebook is on the Web, this is public by definition.
- Well, I like to do the right click>page source>type friendslist thing. I don't really care about non-friends who view my page..It's fun to see which of my friends come to my page the most.
- those are the people you recently contacted not that they went to your profile /
